TOOL USE
Tool-using fish, or at least a fish that engages external objects to access food. It's a good example of the "ripple effect" of cognitive research. We started with apes using tools, then also monkeys, then corvids, then other birds, now fish. The ripple effect is that capacities that at first we believe are uniquely human, or perhaps human-ape specialties, eventually will be found throughout the animal kingdom.
